Tulips and Lilacs, giclee print of original pastel
This impressionistic pastel of lilacs and tulips was done fairly quickly, as sometimes happens. Sometimes, it just pours out of me. I like the circular composition, and the directional movements of many of the pastel strokes. I also like the color, with yellow and red ochre, violet and lilac, and various shades of green. It feels abstract expressionistic to me - emotional - with the white tulips being the center of attention.
I wish I could always work this way!
