This reproduction is of an oil on canvas, Creek I. The scene is typical of the countryside in Pennsylvania where I live - often partly cloudy - in early winter. Visually, I was interested in the subtle colors of the earth (almost gold and bronze), and in the vertical curving of the creek back into space.
